Virtual Support Groups for Working Parents
Working while raising a family is rewarding and challenging. The highs are high and the lows are low. As parents and professionals, we have big dreams but can be hard on ourselves and feel like the only ones who are struggling. This virtual peer group offers a safe space for candor, humor, and practical support as you navigate balance as a working parent.

Weekly Class Beginning May 24: Mindfulness Meditation for Parents
Saturdays from 9:00 - 10:00 am at OFJCC in Palo Alto
In this class, we approach mindfulness as an aspirational lifestyle. Every day, we have opportunities to slow down and live in the moment while we breathe, eat, or talk. Formal practices like seated meditation can be augmented with mindful movement, self-compassion exercises, and curious observation of where our attention goes when it isn’t here. All these tools help us refuel as parents and model these beneficial strategies with our little ones.
Each class will include guided periods of meditation and discussion. After becoming more centered and resourced through practice, students will explore practical ways to use these techniques throughout the week. Mindfulness is simple but not always easy to remember. That is why we practice together. By asking questions, sharing challenges, and supporting each other's growth, we can troubleshoot what gets in the way of presence.
